Sub Speciality Interview Course
Applying for Paediatric GRID, whether it is Cardiology, Gastroenterology or one of the many sub specialities can be very stressful and challenging.
This is the only course of its kind which focuses on the GRID interview and during the two days it will cover those difficult questions about:
- You and your application form
- Career Motivation, preparation and strengths
- Clinical ability and reasoning
- Clinical leadership and team working
- Academic understanding and achievements
Group sizes are kept small to ensure that we focus on YOU throughout the day.
The course is led by Dr Umar Mahmood (Paediatric Cardiology Consultant) and also facilitated by consultants and senior registrar's from various sub specialities.
Course Structure:
Day One: Focuses on your motivation, multidisciplinary team working, leadership and research questions
Day Two: You will be placed in small groups with consultants or senior registrars from your speciality. In this morning session you will be coached on how to tackle those particular questions regarding your speciality including clinical scenarios and if applicable ethical scenarios.
In the afternoon session, All candidates will return to the main room where you will have the opportunity to discuss questions and concerns you may have and have more opportunity to practice.
Sessions will close if capacity is reached so book early to avoid missing out

Q1 - How long is the course
Answer: This is a 2 day course and your payment covers both days
Q2 - Do you cover all specialities
Answer: Yes - We cover all specialities. We do advise that if you are booking the night before the course that you check your speciality is covered on that weekend. If not, you can still attend but we will ask you to return on a different date to have your clinical station
Q3 - I have paid but the ticket only has one of the dates on it
Answer: Don't worry, your ticket will cover both dates. The ticket only has one date to avoid any unnecessary payments.
Q4 - Can I cancel my ticket?
Answer: I would be really sad to see you cancel but that is absolutely fine. a small processing charge will be deducted for refunds. This isn't from us but the website we use.
Q5 - Do you provide group discounts
Answer: Yes. If you would like to book as a group because email or WhatsApp to discuss possible discounts.
